O’s Notes: Trumpeter Jay Saunders recently retired from the University of North Texas where he was an educator and prominent figure in the Dallas recording industry as well as a veteran of the Stan Kenton Jazz Orchestra. This 2-disc compilation features 3 prime selections from each of six recordings by the Two O’clock Lab Band under Jay’s direction from 2009-2014.
