O’s Notes: Sherie serves up a fine set of Brazilian ballads. Lyrics are in Brazilian Portuguese and English with Julianne scatting as well. The program has a dozen popular standards from, “O Pato” to “The Look of Love” to “So Many Stars”. Silva’s arrangements are fresh and dialed in to Sherie’s zone. The music is tight and the mood is relaxed, a la bossa nova.
