O’s Notes: Guitarist Lindsey Blair leads a quartet with Clay Ostwald (keyboards), Nicky Orta (b) and Carlomagno Araya (d, perc). They play a wide variety of originals that include warm bossa nova on “Aquarius” and “Dayspring”; silky electric blues on “Turn Out The Light”, the funky “Schiziod Seat Bubbly ” and a mellow cover of “Julia”. We found a lot to like and enjoy on A New Dawn.
