O’s Notes: Guitarist PJ Rasmussen leads a contemporary jazz sextet playing eight of his original compositions. There is great piano work by Chris Pattishall as well as Nate Giroux on tenor sax and Danny Reyes on trumpet. Steve Johns does more than keep time punctuating the accents throughout the set. “Stolen Miracles”, “Avionics” and “Baden Hill” are a few highlights in a well-balanced set.
