O’s Notes: The beautifully soft vocal improvisation from Janice Borla is well complemented by the band including an excellent rhythm section: pianist Dan Haerle, Bob Bowman (b) and Jack Mouse (d). Fareed Haque (g), Rich Fudoli (sax), Art Davis (t) and Brad Stirtz (vibes) provide accents on selects tracks. These are jazzy cuts vs. songbook ballads and they can be appreciated by a broad audience, a testament to the strong articulation and delivery of the musicians. Plug this one in to relax and enjoy over and over.
