John Eric Booth, 2008, CD
Instrument: Male Vocals
Jazz Ruler Type: Ballads, Blues
O’s Notes: John is crooning in front of a swinging large ensemble. This is a lively performance punctuated by sharp brass with soothing strings. The program is eleven tried and true standards. Eric-Booth is better on the mid tempo tracks that those that push him to his extremes but the precision of the band helps make this a very entertaining set. Among his best are “For The Good Times” and “Why Don’t You Do Right”.
