O’s Notes: Lisa’s voice is delicate, soft and full of emotions. She teams up with Charles Davis, a fine guitarist to perform ten sentimental favorites. There is nowhere to hide in this arrangement! Both Star and Davis are up to the task staying true to the title Bare Essentials, to the benefit of listeners. “God Bless The Child”, “Quiet Nights” and “Natural Woman” are a few of the best. The arrangements play to Lisa’s strengths making this a winning set.
