O’s Notes: Bastet is an ancient Egyptian goddess associated with dance and pleasure. It is also the name of a quartet featuring leader/guitarist Justin Rock, drummer Mike Quigg, bassist Giulio Cetto and Tim Lin on sax. Rock composed all of the music, a spontaneous jazz-fusion with dark tones. “Sex Kitten”, “Battles With Gravity” and “Above It All” are among the best.
