O’s Notes: Keyboardist Marco Benevento plays a wide assortment of electronic keyboards, toys and piano. He leads trio with Reed Mathis (b) and Andrew Barr (d, perc). They play a festive blend of electronic contemporary jazz. It was very appealing to my ten-year old, his favorite jazz CD this year. The music is composed by Benevento from his own experiences. It follows the amusement park theme of pleasure and happiness that has permeated each of his first three releases.
