O’s Notes: Jamie leads his large ensemble from his seat as a guitarist in the rhythm section. The big band is complete with a full array of brass and reeds. This is all original music composed and arranged by Begian earlier this decade. The overarching spirit is joyful. That spirit runs through the band and you can see it in their smiles. Yes this is one of the few albums where 100% of the photos have a smiling face! You’ll hear it in the music as well, notably the title track, our favorite. It is a good sophomore effort.
