O’s Notes: Saxophonist Matt Garrison makes his D Clef debut backed by a strong rhythm section with Pianist Roy Assaf, Bassist Dezron Douglas and Ulysses Owens, Jr. on drums. Michael Dease (tb) and Greg Gisbert (t) sure up the front line as they swing through nine selections. There are 8 originals, 6 by Garrison and 1 each by Dease and Gisbert along with a cover of “The More I See You”. Among the best are “Interrupted” and “Force” with guest guitarist Andrew Swift.
