O’s Notes: Guitarist and vocalist Reinaldo Brahn is one of the new voices of Brazil. He arrived in the US in 2007 and has been spreading his peaceful blend of samba and jazz across the country ever since. Brahn wrote all or part of most of the music on Brasileiro Soul. He sings the lyrics in his native Portuguese except for “Wondering” one of our favorites along with “Alma de Atria” and “P›e o pé an Estrada”. This is a relaxing set that soothes the soul.
