O’s Notes: Shawn Maxwell and his band Alliance follow their well-received, self-titled debut with Bridge, an eclectic set of five Maxwell originals. The 10-piece ensemble is well coordinated in their approach and seem to fuel each other’s fire. We liked the mysterious “Monster Shoes” in a set that is decidedly different from Act 1.
