O’s Notes: Downchild is a traditional blues band that delivers solid entertainment. Blues lovers know that requires good stories (Don Walsh & Chuck Jackson -songwriters), a good storyteller (Chuck Jackson – vocals), a wailing guitar (Don Walsh), brassy accents (Pat Carey – sax, Peter Jeffery -t) and a popping rhythm section (Michael Fontara -keys, Gary Kendall -bass & Mike Fitzpatrick – drums). All of the ingredients are there and producer Walsh follows through with execution on Can You Hear The Music. Yes!
