O’s Notes: Dark Chocolate is a New Jazz, Neo Soul band that performs in various configurations. The band includes Weber Iago or Nico Georis on piano, bassist Kim Stone, Mike Shannon (traps) and several others. Their music has an eclectic Euro club sound with airy vocals, synths and syncopated percussion. They settle into a cool, funky groove on “Boygirl” that extends through “Funko” and “Chocolate jam”. We also enjoyed the full out percussive beats of “Las Tres Cajones”.
