O’s Notes: Inna is billed as the first Russian world music star. This claim is as mysterious as the music on the album. The sound is rather eerie on songs like “Youth” and several others. The theme is consistent throughout the session. Zhelannaya’s voice is pleasing but the lyrics are in Russian. The pulsating club beats of “Naya Naya” and the mix of throat singing; sitar, chants and percussion on “Early Early” were intriguing. Cocoon is a suitable title for this set and it is certainly different and worth sampling for the adventurous.
