O’s Notes: Sax player Steve Fererabend has a relaxed cooler sound that flows from song to song on Converging Paths. He partners with Randy Porter (p), John Witala (b) and Akira Tana (d). This is a good background music CD. “Blue Skies”, “Soul Eyes” and “Contemplation” were among the best of the lot.
