O’s Notes: Fred Scott plays piano, percussion and sings while leading his trio with bassist Vince Bachman and Geoff Kinde on drums. They play a variety of contemporary jazz tunes but they excel on the blues tunes like “Shuffle Time” and “Cool Mood Now”. Fred picks up the microphone for “Let My Mind Go” and “Surrender” and his raspy voice fits the mood of the tune. This is a solid effort.
