O’s Notes: Sanchez composes his music based on his feelings. He has a lot of energy and passion. “Ay Bendito” is a prime example. His tenor sax is warm and throaty with lots of weight. Most of these tunes weigh in on the darker side. Ben Street (b), Lage Lund (g) and Henry Cole (d) are among the supporting musicians. Danilo Perez makes a guest appearance on two tracks notably “Cultural Survival” adding energy to the mix.
