Bassist Chuck Deardorf, percussionist Jeff Busch and drummer Mark Ivester anchor strong Latin beats with Harvey Wainapel (sax, cl) sharing melodies with Quintero. “Vice do No Presence” and “Zagaia” are funky and vivacious contrasting with the relaxing samba of “Outras Praias”, three highlights in a balanced session.
