O’s Notes: Latin vocalist Greg Purnhagen pays homage to his Cuban heritage and Desi Arnez, an early idol and role model. Before reading the liner notes we immediately made reference to Desi’s performances at the Tropicana during the I Love Lucy show. Purnhagen does an excellent job with the material singing passionately in English and Spanish. “Cuban Pete”, “Babalu”, “I Love Lucy” and “Tico Tico” are some of the highlights.
