He shows his versatility on the swinging “Invitation” and with a little bossa nova for “If You Never Come to Me” and on “Gentle Rain”. Detour Ahead includes a dozen freshly arranges classics that will please many jazz lovers! Among the best are “Never let Me Go”, “Jeannine” featuring cool bass line from Chris Amberger and “I’ll Remember April” with several finger-popping solos.
