O’s Notes: They open with “Four on Six” at a bouncy pace with James Hinkley bowing his cello and Troy Chapman playing solo guitar. It is followed by Gillespie’s “Be-Bop”. These two tunes were done in the spirit of Django Reinhardt setting the stage for the session and carrying that mood all the way through. We enjoyed the relaxed pace of “Sarita” and “Softly As In A Morning Sunrise”. But they really shine on the high energy tunes like “Tu vou’ fa’ ll’americano”. They successfully place their stamp on a dozen classics and swing all the way through.
