O’s Notes: Guitarist Matt White leads Fight The Big Bull. The band is a brassy nonet loaded with creativity. After listening to the title track, I am convinced that some will believe the title to be a better alternative to this chaotic song. For those who make it beyond the opener, there is promise! “November 25th” features Bob Miller (t) in a Spanish celebration. “Grizzly Bear” is a musical depiction of a large animal migrating through the raging waters of the Gulf of Mexico. They conclude with “In Jarama Valley”, a more sedate reflection of a Civil War battlefield after the dust settles. This one will take you for a roller coaster ride.
