O’s Notes: E_L_B is Peter Erskine (d) from New Jersey, Vietnamese Nguyn L (g) and Michael Benita (b) from Algeria. They come together as one on equal footing. They shared writing and production of the entire program. This sharing spills over into the music where there is no one-up-manship, just harmony. They get a little funky on “Pong” but this is a basically a cool jazz-fusion set. The soundstage is open and inviting making the music easy to listen to and easy to enjoy.
