O’s Notes: This is a collection of songs recorded by the great guitarist Wes Montgomery in his early days. It was recorded before his first recording contract with Pacific Jazz Records in 1958. The source of the material was an eBay auction that led to the music being in the hands of George Klabin and his team at Resonance Records. There are some flashes of brilliance in the nine selections that are memorable in a sea of varied approaches as Wes established his signature.
