O’s Notes: This is an introspective album featuring pianist and leader Daniel Kelly with Chris Terry (b) and Jordan Perlson (d). After opening with three mildly abstract tunes, Terry leads the shift into the Latin flavored title track. That vibe continues with “Anima/Animus” before they take a rock-fusion focus with “Droppelganger” and “Canary Effect”. We enjoyed the piano-based, relaxing feeling of “July 25th” and “Song For Katherine” along with the aforementioned Latin beats in this mix of pop fusion.
