O’s Notes: Sandy drapes warm vocals around a constant stream of mellow bossa nova. These songs are easy to embrace even with mostly Brazilian Portuguese lyrics. Cressman invites a wealth of featured artists to join her on Entre Amigos keeping things interesting all the way through. A few of the best are “Eu Mais Voce” with support from guitarist Ray Obiedo; “Ela ” featuring Dennis Chambers (d), Benny Rietveld (b) & Jeff Cressman (tb); and the peaceful “Eu Vou Lembrar” with pianist Antonio Adolfo. This is a winner!
