O’s Notes: Vocalist Deborah Latz takes a creative approach to fourteen popular classics adding jazzy improvisation to the expected lyrics. She doesn’t alter them beyond recognition but certainly casts a different light upon them. She gets great support from her band especially guitarist John Hart and pianist Jon Davis. The program ranged from the boss nova of “ Luxor” to “S’Wonderful” to “Moon River”. The song list sounds ordinary but the delivery is exquisite!
