O’s Notes: Rotem Sivan is a guitarist that we hadn’t heard before but after listening to this release, he’s certainly one we’ll be following going forward! He leads a trio with drummer Mark McLean and Haggai Cohen Milo on bass. The groove is throwback call and response bebop with the guitar in the spotlight. Sivan wrote five of the seven selections infusing fresh and original elements into the mix. Of note are “Useless Landscape”, “Blossom” and “Pass It On”.
