O’s Notes: Pianist and composer Roberto Negro leads a band with Valentin Ceccaldi (violoncello) and Sylvan Darrifourco (d).“Garibaldi Plop“is collection of nine heavily syncopated tunes. The music ranges from intense rage on “Suole Di Gomma Vikram” to the magnetic tranquility of “Il Vino!” and finally the quiet fortitude of “Rosina Cavatappi”. We especially liked “Camouflage” combining vigor and relaxing segments with an orderly structure.
