O’s Notes: Pianist and composer Lisa Hilton leads a trio with bassist Larry Grenadier and drummer Nasheet Waits for Get Away, her latest release. Hilton varies the tempo and dynamics to engage us in her journey. We enjoyed the spirited “Lost & Found” along side of the soothing ballads. Waits’ beats are punctuated with rolls and cymbals in all of the right places accentuating Lisa’s compositions.
