O’s Notes: This is one of jazz guitarist Kenny Burrell’s blues and ballads recordings. He starts with a ballad then gets into the blues on “Love Is The Answer”. He puts in a dose of soul into “Do What You Gotta Do” before relaxing us with “A Child is Born” and mesmerizing us with the title track. The supporting cast includes Ron Carter (b), Billy Cobham (d), Ray Barretto (perc) and Hugh Lawson (keys), quite a crew. The best are the ballads topped by “Lost In The Stars”. This 1971 recording is among Kenny’s best and is excellent listening music.
