O’s Notes: Dan leads this sextet through fifteen classic jazz songs associated with the scene in Harlem. They swing hard with the appropriate bounce on neat arrangements of tunes like “Drop Me Off In Harlem”. Dan takes the lead on cornet and trombone doing an excellent job with the mute, especially on “Echoes Of Harlem”. This is upbeat and enjoyable as if we were back 50+ years in time.
