O’s Notes: Helio Parallax is a trio with Josh Werner (b, g, p, keys), Marihito Ayabe (dubbing, beat maker) and Takuya Nakamura (t, keys). Several guest artists contribute to the experience. There is heavy use of electronics creating a spiritual outer space experience. We liked “Another Broken Human”, “City of Glass” and “Frank’s Lament” best. The Brooklyn based team ushers listeners into a different solar system where they can listen to modern Earth music through miles of atmosphere.
