O’s Notes: Henry Mancini’s score of the Peter Gunn TV series is legendary and defines action and suspense. It had the cool swagger of the left coast and ushered jazz into many American households. The sixteen song set includes a wealth of good tunes and of course the theme song! Yes, it is still cool today and made us want to revisit some of those episodes.
