O’s Notes: Act is a trio with Ben Wendel (sax, melodica, bassoon), bassist Harish Raghavan and Nate Wood on drums. II is their latest project with eight original compositions, three written by Wendel and five by Raghavan. The sound is eclectic world jazz. The blustery illustration on the CD cover matches the melancholic sound the produce. The best bet is “Day And Night”, the final track.
