O’s Notes: Mary plays piano leading a trio with Bassist Gordon Johnson and a few different drummers. Knutson has a very bubbly style on the keys that works well with her fresh arrangements of jazz classics like “Bluesette”, “Bernie’s Tune” and “You Don’t Know What Love Is”. The music swings and is jovial. Though you have heard these titles before, the arrangements are special. We enjoyed the session and could use this CD in a variety of different settings.
