O’s Notes: Guitarist Frank Kohl leads a quartet with Bassist Steve LaSpina, pianist Tom Kohl and Jon Doty on drums. They play a swinging set of modern jazz tunes. Five of the eight selections are originals by Frank Kohl including the title track. Frank shines on guitar on “Born Again” but otherwise shares the load with the band. Other highlights are “Falling Sky” and their covers of “My Funny Valentine” and “Alone Together”.
