O’s Notes: Mover combines ballads with upbeat cookers to bring us an entertaining program. His sax melodies are as heart felt as his vocals. Bob projects his emotions in both cases making each song personal. His rhythm section is excellent with Dennis Irwin (b), Steve Williams (b) and Kenny Barron (p). He duels with Igor Burlman (sax) on “Erkin”, a swinger and one of our favorite tracks along with “Stairway To The Stars”. We also liked “People Will Say We’re In Love” where their entire band took cool solos. While you may not have heard of Mover, he is one of the most passionate sax players on the scene. This is a strong set!
