O’s Notes: Eric Alexander is a first call jazz sax player with a lot of polish and a rich sound. His quartet includes former teacher, veteran pianist Harold Mabern, bassist Nat Reeves and drummer Joe Farnsworth. Eric mixes a few originals in with some cool swinging covers of tunes like “Where Is the Love” and “Bye Bye Baby” where he takes off with his sax solo. It is a well-balanced set.
