O’s Notes: Henry is the consummate bassist, a veteran of many years with 22 albums under his belt as a leader. He brings together a polished team of musicians both young and old with the promise of making listeners shake a tail feather and smile. Franklin lives up to his bet incorporating tastes of swing, calypso and modern jazz. Pianist Theo Saunders contributes a couple of tunes notably “Thump”. We also enjoyed “Neko”, “Four By Five” and A Love Song For Midori” the lone Franklin original featuring Mon David singing. This strength is what we’ve come to expect from Henry.
