O’s Notes: Las Cumbias…Las Guitarras is a collection of ten Latin tunes that have a soft country feel. Quintero’s guitar work is complemented by the swing of the accordions. The musicians come from Columbia, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Italy, Mexico and USA. The resulting collage is blend of bouncy, soothing Latin jazz that works for the ride home after a grueling day in the office or simply relaxing on a Sunday afternoon. Our favorite was “Festival En Chia”.
