O’s Notes: Pianist Antonio Adolfo leads a quartet for an energetic mix of twelve originals and jazz standards. Leo Amuedo (g), Jorge Helder (b) and Rafael Barata (d) are the core band with guest appearances from trombonist Sergio Trombone on “Easy To Love” and Adolfo’s daughter, Carol Saboya (vocals). We really enjoyed Antonio’s originals especially “Minor Chord”. Carol adds warm vocals to several tracks notably “A Night In Tunisia” and “Sabia”. Combined with the soothing nature of Antonio’s instrumentals, this is a fine jazz album by excellent Brazilian artists.
