O’s Notes: From the opening track, “RobBop” we knew this would be a funky contemporary set with a tight bottom courtesy of Steve Oliver (b, keyboards, programming) and sax by guest Walle Larrson. Vincent Ingala adds sax and Jeff Salem plays drums on several tracks notably “No Limits” and “Giving’ Back”. We also liked “My JaM” and “Return To You” with Gabriel Mark Hasselbach shadowing on trumpet. They balance the set with the relaxing “Always There”, featuring Phil Denny (sax) on the bonus track.
