O’s Notes: This live session was recorded in Paris during the Spring of 2001. Enrico (p) is joined by producer Hein Van De Geyn (b) and André “Dede” Ceccarelli (d) to form a European based jazz trio ready to challenge any, anywhere around the world. The music, 14 tracks on 2 discs is a combination of Pieranunzi’s own tracks and newly arranged covers of standards. Among the best are the burning “I Hear A Rhapsody”, “Jitterbug Waltz” Shorter’s “Footprints” and relaxing tracks like “I Fall In Love Too Easily”. The recording quality is excellent leading to a performance that we enjoyed in our studio as much as the live crowd at Le Duc Des Lombards.
