O’s Notes: We were so entrenched with this recording that we listened four times all the way through before we picked up the pen to critique. Saxophonist Michael Pedicin put together this collection of music that defines his lengthy journey in jazz. It is a statement to behold with music of Coltrane, Lacey, Eckstine and others performed with the soul. Pedicin plays his heart out with strong support from Johnnie Valentino (g), Jim Ridley (p), Andy Lalasis (b) and Bob Shomo (d). This is a fine live set to listen to again and again!
