O’s Notes: Caroline Davis plays alto sax and leads a quartet with Mike Allemana (g), Matt Ferguson (b) and Jerry Cunningham (d). Davis composed six of the selections with one each from Allemana and Cunningham along with two covers. We particularly liked the sax melody on “KowTow”. “Blood Count”, “Shiny Rims” and “The Academic Freedom Suite”. There is a lot to enjoy with this fresh fusion band.
