O’s Notes: Ron places his baritone vocals onto nine newly arranged jazz classics. He includes blues like “Moanin'” and “Cry Me A River”, plus a wealth of standards. There is a strong contribution from guitarist Larry Scala who forms a tight rhythm section with Guiseppe Merolla (d) and Perry Thoorsell (b). Donny McCaskin Jr. Adds tenor sax and Steve Czarnecki mans the Hammond B3 to add variety and spice. Among the best of the rest are “How Insensitive” and “No One Ever Tells You”.
