O’s Notes: Brazilian guitarist Carlos Barbosa-Lima leads his band through twenty Latin selections. He has a talented team that includes Hendrik Meurkens (harmonica), Duduka Da Fonseca (perc) and fellow guitarists Christopher McGuire and Karin Schaupp. The three guitars perform as a trio on three selections notably “Veleiro”. We also enjoyed “Implicante”, “Seis Por Derecho” and “Canhoto”. Carlos does a fine job with the arrangements capturing local flavors. This is a winner for lovers of guitar and especially quaint Latin music.
